At my open studio celebration on November 6
Sherap Andrea Winn was strongly drawn to a scarab in the necklace I was wearing. It happened to be a very special scarab that I purchased on a trip to Cairo Egypt in 1995. I had given it to a friend in New York who kept it for more than 12 years and recently returned it to me upon visiting Toronto. It was so exciting to create a custom piece for Sherap with this scarab, knowing it had been on a journey around the world and was about to continue its travels! Sherap paid another visit to my studio and together we came up with a beautiful design that incorporated Chilean silver beads and Jasper from New Mexico. It can be worn any length from18" to 30". She loves it, and so do I.
